Best Hytale Server Hosting (2026 Comparison)
Compare Hytale server hosting from Shockbyte, Apex, Nitrado, GPORTAL, and Supercraft, including RAM, pricing, backups, support, and affiliate disclosure.
Last updated: 2026-08-02
Managed Hytale hosting is useful when a world should stay online without leaving a home computer running. A provider handles the physical machine, network, DDoS protection, and basic deployment; you still need to manage access, updates, mods, permissions, and recoverable backups.
Hypixel Studios currently lists Nitrado, Apex Hosting, GPORTAL, Shockbyte, and DatHost as Launch Verified options in its official multiplayer guidance. This comparison covers four of those providers plus Supercraft, which has a Hytale product but is not presented here as Launch Verified.
Affiliate disclosure: Shockbyte, Nitrado, and Supercraft links on this page are affiliate links. If you purchase through one, Hytale Server Tools may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Apex and GPORTAL links are direct, non-affiliate links. Affiliate availability does not determine the order or conclusions below.
Pricing note: Prices and promotions were checked on August 2, 2026. Currency, tax, renewal price, RAM, region, and discounts can change. Confirm the final checkout terms before purchasing.
At a glance
| Host | Useful starting point | Best fit | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shockbyte (affiliate) | 5 GB / 4 players advertised at $12.50 monthly | Small groups wanting a simple Hytale-specific plan | The 4-player plan has limited headroom when players explore separately or add mods |
| Apex Hosting | 4 GB advertised at $11.24 for the first month, then $14.99 | Beginners who value guided support and an established control panel | Introductory price is lower than the recurring price |
| Nitrado (affiliate) | Choose the live Hytale plan and nearest available region at checkout | Operators who prioritize an official development partner and its Hytale plugins | Pricing and available configurations vary by location |
| GPORTAL | 4 GB advertised at $10.08 per 30 days during a promotion; $13.44 regular | Groups wanting flexible terms and published RAM guidance | Promotional pricing is time-limited and region-dependent |
| Supercraft (affiliate) | Hytale-specific plans with five advertised regions | Groups comparing a smaller provider with daily backups and a short refund window | It is not listed as Launch Verified by Hypixel Studios |
There is no universal winner. Pick the datacenter closest to most players, then compare recurring cost, RAM, CPU access, backup retention, file export, and support.
Shockbyte
Shockbyte is a Launch Verified provider. Its current Hytale page advertises a 5 GB Copper plan for four players at $12.50 monthly, an 8 GB Mithril plan for eight players at $19.99, and configurable plans from 9 GB upward. Published features include automatic backups, full file access, DDoS protection, global locations, mod support, and a 72-hour self-service refund policy.
The smaller plan is most appropriate for a private group that usually explores together. Shockbyte itself notes that simultaneous exploration in different directions increases load and that larger plans provide more headroom.

Apex Hosting
Apex is an official Hytale Launch and Development Partner. Its current Hytale plans are RAM-based: the 4 GB plan is advertised at $11.24 for the first month and $14.99 recurring, while 6 GB and 8 GB options cost more. Apex advertises automatic backups and updates, full FTP access, DDoS protection, instant setup, and round-the-clock chat and ticket support.
The explicit introductory and renewal prices make comparison easier, but budget using the recurring price. Four gigabytes is the official installation floor, so active groups, mods, or high view distance may need more.
Nitrado
Nitrado is an official Hytale Launch and Development Partner. The official Hytale server manual also identifies Nitrado-maintained plugins for status queries, web applications, APIs, and resource-aware view-distance control.
Nitrado is worth checking when provider integration and region choice matter more than finding one fixed headline price. Confirm the exact RAM, location, backup policy, and renewal amount shown for your market before ordering.

GPORTAL
GPORTAL is Launch Verified and publishes a useful sizing guide: 4 GB for up to four players, 6 GB for up to six, 8 GB for up to ten, and 14 GB for up to fifteen. It warns that mods and play style can raise those needs. Its Hytale page advertises fast deployment, NVMe storage, DDoS protection, CurseForge integration, and flexible rental periods.
GPORTAL is a practical option when you want clearly stated RAM tiers. Treat its displayed discounts as temporary and compare the full 30-day renewal cost in your chosen region.
Supercraft
Supercraft advertises Hytale deployment, on-demand and daily backups, mod and asset-pack support, five regions, DDoS protection, full server controls, and a two-day refund window. It may be worth comparing if its closest region and current checkout price suit your group.
Supercraft is included as an additional commercial option, not as a Hypixel Studios Launch Verified provider. Verify world export and backup retention before moving a long-running world.

What to check before buying
- Location: choose the datacenter nearest the majority of active players.
- Recurring price: compare the normal monthly price, not only a launch or first-month discount.
- Usable memory: four gigabytes is a floor; mods, view distance, NPCs, and separate exploration increase demand.
- Backups: check frequency, retention, storage location, and whether restoring is self-service.
- World export: confirm you can download the complete
universe/directory, configuration, permissions, and mods before cancelling. - File and console access: look for the access needed to authenticate, inspect logs, change launch settings, and migrate later.
- Refund terms: read the current policy and exclusions before purchase.
For a few friends who only play when you are online, self-hosting may be cheaper and gives you direct control. For a persistent public or community world, managed hosting avoids exposing a home connection and keeps the server online around the clock.
